Biography
A writer and editor with an MA (Distinction) in Creative Writing from the University of Nottingham and a First-Class BA from the Open University. Over the past five years, Keir has worked professionally as a writer, crafting a broad portfolio.
His background combines creative and commercial writing: he has written hundreds of professional articles, blog posts, marketing content, technical documentation, bids, and tender proposals. He has also managed editorial workflows, assessed manuscripts and copy for quality and suitability, and provided writers with critical feedback.
In his writing life, Keir loves literary fiction, speculative fiction, sci-fi and fantasy, and magical realism, influences you can clearly see in the works of fiction available on this site.
Before going to university, Keir studied science and philosophy and worked as a brewer at several independent craft breweries, giving him commercial experience and expertise. He is, in short, fascinated by the world and happy to write about any given subject.
